TojiTomo:Rerolling

Rerolling, also known in Japan as risemara (リセマラ, derived from リセットマラソン, lit., "reset marathon"), is the process of continuously making throwaway accounts in gacha-based mobile games until a desired array of starter units is obtained, after which the player can finalize one's chosen account through account binding.

Although the process of rerolling is very time consuming and frustrating for some players, it can allow players, regardless of luck of the draw, to gain an early-game advantage over players who already settled with whatever they obtained on their first account. Take note, however, that rerolling isn't necessary, and some games aren't that punishing for players with unfortunate starter rolls.

Rerolling Methods

iOS and non-rooted Android devices

• At the title screen, tap on the Cache Clear (キャッシュクリア) button.
• Alternately, reinstall the app.

Rooted Android devices

1. Close the app, if open, from the Task Manager.
2. Open the device's File Manager, making sure that the device has root access.
3. Go to data/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.TojinomikoTomoshibi.
4. Open the files folder.
5. Delete the following files: data00, data01, data02, data03.
6. Alternately, delete the files folder.

Note: Players that use emulators can also follow the instructions below, granted that Step 2 applies. Otherwise, players will have to "root" the emulator before proceeding. For BlueStacks, you will need to install BlueStacks Tweaker Tool and root your previous emulator. Afterwards, locate the files and shared pref folder in /data/data/com.square_enix.TojinomikoTomoshibi/ and transfer them to your BlueStack via the Tweaker Tool.
